It’s that challenging time of the year, at least for those of us that aren’t early risers. The sun decides to beam in all the windows sooooo very early. My attempts to put pillows over my face work on occasion, but when the dogs start to bark because they need to start the day (specifically go outside to potty), there’s no ignoring that.
This morning both dogs woke up early, probably because they didn’t get their business done before bed. I put them out but I can never see exactly what they’ve accomplished in the dark.
I found out the answer to that question this morning. Nothing . They were what I would call “busting a gut.” And who’s fault is that, Pups? By the way, the brindle is Pepper and she just turned five (!), and the too-cute-for-his-own-good is Freddie, turning one next month. How HE came into our lives is a subject for another post.
Therefore, much earlier than I would like, but after the sun began to make it’s presence known, I quickly hustled downstairs to let out the dogs. They were very appreciative. And since my day had already started, there was no returning to bed. I was able to enjoy the early morning sunshine in a much better setting than under my pillow. And I began my day in a different way than I usually did. Following the post below, maybe this is exactly what my angel card was telling me today. Mixing things up was a great beginning to my day. It was definitely a productive way to start, as I finished my current painting. I’ll have to think about this different schedule. You never know, this old dog could learn new tricks.
