It’s Me Again!

I’m just like a bad penny, I keep returning to your internet.

My name is Donna Pilato, and this isn’t my first time writing a blog. My first time blogging was as the Entertaining Guide at About.com, but hey, who entertains these days, am I right? My first personal blog was titled Artiechokes.com, no that’s not a typo. That’s the phonetic pronunciation for the way my Bronx/NY family pronounced the word “artichoke.” Following that first blog there were several reinventions of the theme, but all mainly talking about my life raising two children and feeding a growing family, with all of the entertaining that went along with family life. You may have read my stories at “Food Planet Blog”, “The Delicious Dozen”, or my last, “Tomatoes and Tangles”.

Then CANCER happened. And I lost all my words and fun stories. In the meantime, my two kids have been growing up and moving out and returning home, and moving out and returning home, as typical twenty-somethings do these days. Especially during a pandemic. It’s been entertaining in a whole different way.

When food and cooking became less of a creative outlet for me (chemo changed my entire outlook on food), I began to develop my other creative interests. It started with becoming a Certified Zentangle Teacher, followed by lots of drawing, and painting. But WAIT! There’s more.

I also became a Reiki Master because, not surprisingly, healing became a priority in my life.

Hang on, we’re not done yet!

A lifelong hobby, interest, and now passion has been tarot card reading, and I’ve become a Certified Angel Card Reader in addition to other oracle and tarot card readings.

Sooooooo, where will this blog go? Your guess is as good as mine. Food, art, tarot/oracle card readings, pandemic, who knows? All I know is that my words have returned, my passions have expanded, and I’m ready to share it with you again.
